Sometimes you just need to get yourself something a little motivator and for us that doesn’t always mean shoes. In this case, we are talking about the clothes, apparel, kit, uniform, whatever you want to call it. This brings us to SOAR, a UK based company who is producing beautifully simplistic men’s running apparel that will make those runs feel that much better. Sometimes, just putting on the right clothes makes it a little easier to get out the door.
Overview and History
SOAR was started by a fashion designer who knew the frustration of just buying what was being shilled to us from major sports brands. He knew he could produce something using better quality fabrics and designs that conveyed the feeling of running in terms of the lines, the simplicity, and the grace. Their goal was to just create the best looking and top-performing gear they could that would stand up to all weather conditions and being based in the UK, they had an easy environment to test in.

While the majority of their short sleeve tee offerings are solid, the Hot Weather tee is perfect for summer and our favorite for the bunch. The shirt is super light and uses a thicker SPF 50 materials on the shoulders and back and then highly ventilated mesh for your front core area. This can get drenched and still feel like nothing against your skin.

Dual Run Shorts
Shorts meet liner and yes, it’s a long liner

We focused on their Dual Run shorts, but you can also drop the liner and go with a lower cost non-lined version. Either way, you will be pleasantly surprised. The shell is laser cut with flatlock seams so it’s lightweight and then the liner is ultra-thin yet still has a slight level of compression. It does feature a rear zip pocket for gels, blocks, etc but it is slightly just too small for most phones.

Those details though… nice
Their Italian inspired Long Sleeve Tech-T is also just fantastic. Styling is super simple with the exception of a little reflective tab on the front left shoulder and a logo at the waistline. The crazy thing is the fit on this and how it molds to your body, it just feels like a second skin. It actually had us longing for some cooler days.

Socks

Overall Conclusion
SOAR is not cheap running apparel, they produce well-designed uniforms for runners that stand up to weather look pretty solid to boot. When you put on their apparel, it feels like you are getting ready for battle and you know you have the right gear to get you through it. Well worth the splurge.
