All right, let’s be honest and say the Run commute jacket is a bit of a Splurge. This is a tailored fully water-resistant running jacket that feels more stylish than functional but actually is highly functional. This jacket looks good with a pair of jeans paired with either Tracksmith commute pants or their tights. The silhouette of their brand stripe is subtly included on the front, There’s reflective detailing on the collar and it also features elastic cuffs to keep water out. There are three pockets, all zippered I’m a 2 on the sides and one kitten in the stash itself. They have included a bungee at the waist to really such things down and there’s also a mesh back vent to increase airflow. This jacket is just beautiful.

- 80% Nylon, 20% Elastane
- Buy now from Tracksmith.com
The Tracksmith turnover tights or just your basic everyday high quality beautiful tight. They come in five different colors and when you get them, you and me neatly think they’re going to be too small, but they seem to fit really well regardless probably due to their materials choice. They use their Inverno blend which is a mix of nylon and elastic, but it feels softer than you might imagine. They feature a rear pocket which is just big enough to squeeze a phone in, But you see their real attention to detail with they’re back is UPS which is long enough to allow you to even pull them off over shoes.
Our only caveat comes from our female tester who is 5’3” Mart that the links the female Titan is definitely made for a slightly taller woman. She experiences a bit of gather, not enough to stop her from using them, but never allowing her to pull a fully tight. Our male tester on the other hand would live in them if possible.

The Brighton base layer on the other hand feels more like your traditional long sleeve running top, but that wool blend actually keeps you a touch warmer becomes a great insulator under something like the commute jacket. It can definitely stand by itself, but it is going to be a bit more see-through which is especially noticeable for women. It is a great base layer though.

As always, Tracksmith delivers on quality and performance and while it carries a touch higher cost, we think it is totally worth it.
