Took advantage of what was clearly one of the best days of the year Portland and did a double day yesterday.
Not going to lie but did not expect @reebok to have a highly capable carbon shoe so was pleasantly surprised at how the Floatride Energy X performed.
A nasty day here in PDX, but the miles must be logged! Decided to put even more miles on the @asicsrunning Superblast and the more we wear them, the better they seem to feel and perform. The original stiffness has dissipated a bit and the shoe just feels more comfortable overall, yet still responsive. The AHAR+ rubber outsole is a huge winner on here as it handles wet roads really well.
A beautiful morning for a run today down in SoCal, the hills of Torrey Pines were no match for the @hoka Clifton 9. With every run these things just keep getting better and better.
The @salomonrunning Aero Glide is a sleeper hit in the high cushion road category. It competes really well against the HOKA Bondi 8 with a huge stack, wide platform, roomy upper, and decent performance. We have known Salomon has had the chops on the trail side for quite a while, but clearly they have their targets set in the road and this is a solid contender. Our only gripe is the insole which does tend to slip back as your pace picks up or on hills. Could just be out test pair but something to keep an eye on.
It’s the new @craftsportswear PRO Endurance Trails and while they do feature a really solid ultralight, well cushioned, and responsive midsole paired with a nice aggressive outsole… they also feature the same super long laces that keep showing up on Craft shoes. Jokes aside, the upper feels similar to the CTM Ultra so don’t expect a ton of padding up top, but they do maintain a roomy toebox. As more of a high mileage trail shoe, would like a bit more up top on here as it can get uncomfortable as the miles tick on.
